Listserv Policy

The KU Listserv is a service for KU friends and members to share information on the events and activities of the community. Below you will find Posting Guidelines and information about how you can moderate how you receive posts from this source.

What is a Listserv?

A Listserv is an email program that makes it easier to send a message to a list of people. The Kelowna Unitarians Listserv has been in use since 2002!

Posting Guidelines

This is an unmoderated list, so any listserv member can post freely.  However, we ask you to follow a few simple guidelines to keep the list running civilly and smoothly.

The listserv is only valuable if people stay subscribed to the list. The following guidelines are in place to be respectful of each other’s time and busy inboxes.

  1. Do NOT “Reply to All.” This listserv is for disseminating information, it is not a discussion group. When you hit “reply to all,” you are forcing everyone into your discussion. Please reply directly to the poster. If new information emerges, please post a new message via listserv.

  2. Please keep it relevant. This service is about our Kelowna Unitarians activities and concerns and outside news that specifically affects our community.

  3. Be polite and respectful. These are real people on this list. Please respect our Relationship Covenant in all emails you post here. People posting aggressive or inflammatory emails will be removed.
