Circle of Sharing: Ancestral Artifacts

Each year on her birthday, Valaura honours her life by reflecting on its eventual end. While it may seem unusual, she has found that contemplating mortality invites greater kindness, empathy, patience, and peace of mind.

This year, as her birthday offering to the community, Valaura invites you to join a Circle of Sharing at Kelowna Unitarians. You are invited to bring an heirloom, photo, treasured gift, or memento from someone who has shaped your life. This person may be an ancestor, a departed loved one, or a mentor whose influence continues to ripple through you.

Together, in a circle of story and presence, we will hold a kind of sacred “show and tell,” shining light on those who came before us and honouring the ways they continue to live through us.
