About the event

Kelowna Unitarians Social Justice Committee's Fall Series presents our Friday Film Night: "Pete Seeger: The Power of Song"

About the Film

Musician, Patriot, Activist, Environmentalist, Blacklisted, and Legend

The film presents folk singer extraordinaire Pete Seeger's lifestory of standing in his truth, using the power of music and community to help change the world. With his deeply-held beliefs, Seeger went from the top of the pop charts to the top of the blacklist and was banned from American commercial television for more than 17 years.

Kelowna Unitarians Social Justice Committee presents this affirming documentary film, best shared in community. A little known fact: Pete was a long time Unitarian Universalist!
