About the event

The Meditation and Support Circle is a new initiative being piloted by a few members of the Kelowna Unitarians. It is peer-led and rooted in compassion and inclusivity with disability at the forefront. Inspired by (though not limited to) Buddhist practice and meditation, this group seeks to help people in their daily lives through disability, chronic illness, mental health struggle or simply just stress management.


It will begin with a short talk (about 10 minutes) to set the tone, followed up with a group meditation (30 minutes) and finally a discussion group (20 minutes or as long as time allows).

What is the nature of pain and suffering? What can this teach us about our lives?


Feel free to bring a cushion for meditation, however chairs will be available for those who need them or those who do not bring cushions. Tea, coffee or…
