There are many interests – corporate, political and social – that seek to shape, define and limit us. Reflection, consciousness and critical thinking enable us to see the “influencers” more clearly and to resist them, to the benefit of ourselves, society and creation.

Heather Burton is a retired ordained minister in The United Church of Canada. Ordained in 1997, a mid-life change in vocation, Heather has been in pastoral ministry and various ministries within the wider church in both Ontario and BC. Her passion is justice, especially giving voice to those who have been silenced or whose voices have been lost.
