About the event
Presenter: Debbie Hubbard // Worship Associate: Linda Guebert
Canadian singer Joni Mitchell famously wrote: “We are stardust, billion year old carbon, We are golden, caught in the devil's bargain and we've got to get ourselves back to the garden . . .”
In this time of social upheaval, how do we imagine our way back to the garden? Those places where we can recover our balance and serenity? Debbie will explore with us three types of places, which she turns into sanctuary for herself during these very precarious and uncertain times.
About our presenter:
Debbie Hubbard moved to Kelowna in 2016. Prior to that she lived most of life on Treaty 6 territory in north central Saskatchewan and Alberta. Global travel has fueled her compassion and commitment to learn and do more to create a community and world that is more just and equitable for all. The unsettling work of reconciliation has helped shift her understanding of her relationship with all of Creation. For that she is grateful.
