At this time of the year, we may take time to commemorate those who have gone before us. In many cultures there are “festivals of the dead” that are quite different from our somewhat solemn events. In this service we will take a look at some of the traditional practices of other groups and their attitudes toward death. Then we will honour our dead with a Remembrance Ceremony. During that time, we will invite you to share a photo or memento of someone who has died and tell us a little about them. In this way we can share our most precious memories of those who are no longer with us while we celebrate life.
